La Biblioteca Comunitaria Magdalena Mora está ubicada dentro del Centro Aztlán Chicomoztoc. Se estableció en honor a la activista, académica y organizadora Magdalena Mora, quien nació en Michoacán, México, y despues se estableció con su familia en San José, California. Se graduó de UC Berkeley y se convirtió en miembra destacado de +CASA+, donde escribió para su periódico y dirigió la exitosa huelga de ”tolteca Foods”. Magdalena también apoyó activamente los derechos y las luchas de las mujeres a lo largo de su vida. Trágicamente, murió de cáncer a la edad de 29 años, continuando su lucha por la humanidad hasta el final.
The Magdalena Mora Community Library is located within the Centro Aztlan Chicomoztoc. It was established to honor the activist, academic, and organizer Magdalena Mora, who was born in Michoacán, Mexico, and later settled with her family in San Jose, California. She graduated from UC Berkeley and became a prominent member of CASA, where she wrote for its newspaper and directed the successful Tolteca Food Strike. Magdalena also actively supported women's rights and struggles throughout her life. Tragically, she passed away from cancer at the age of 29, continuing her fight for humanity until the end.
